Create a Store With Wix

Wix is one of the easiest ways to build a good-looking online store, with a drag-and-drop editor and no coding.

This quick guide shows you how to create your store on Wix, step by step.

What you'll need
  • A Wix account (free to sign up).
  • Your logo, product photos, prices and descriptions.
  • A paid Wix plan that allows online payments, when you're ready to sell.

1. Sign Up and Choose How to Build

Go to wix.com and create a free account. When Wix asks what you're building, choose Online Store.

You can then either answer a few questions and let Wix's AI create a starting design, or pick a ready-made template yourself.

2. Pick an Online Store Template

If you choose a template, browse the Online Store category and pick one close to your brand's style.

Choose carefully: on Wix, switching to a different template later usually means rebuilding your design.

3. Customize Your Design

In the Wix editor, add your logo, set your brand colors and fonts, and replace the template's text and images with your own.

Keep the homepage simple: a clear headline, your best products and one main button.

4. Add Your Products

From your site dashboard, go to Catalog → Store Products (the exact menu name can vary) and click New Product.

  • Add a clear title and a benefit-led description.
  • Upload several product photos.
  • Set the price, and a sale price if needed.
  • Add product options, like size or color, and track inventory.

Group products into categories, like "Caps" or "New Arrivals," so customers can browse easily.

5. Set Up Payments

In your dashboard, go to Settings → Accept Payments.

  • Wix Payments is the built-in option, but it's only available in some countries.
  • Third-party providers are available depending on your country.
  • Manual payments let you offer options like cash on delivery or bank transfer.

Selling from Bangladesh? Check which online payment providers Wix offers for your business before you build. Stripe and PayPal don't support Bangladesh-based businesses, so cash on delivery may be your main option.

6. Set Up Shipping

Go to Settings → Shipping & fulfillment (or "Shipping & delivery"). Create regions, like "Inside Dhaka" and "Outside Dhaka," and set a rate for each.

You can also add free shipping above a set order value.

7. Add Your Store Pages and Policies

Add an About page, a Contact page and an FAQ. Then add your shipping, returns and privacy policies, and link them in your footer.

8. Upgrade, Connect a Domain and Publish

  • Upgrade to a plan that allows online payments. Selling starts on Wix's Core plan, and prices vary by country.
  • Connect your own domain, like yourbrand.com.
  • Place a test order, and check your site on your phone.
  • Click Publish.
